About Us
Located at Iowa State University, the Public Science Collaborative (PSC) is comprised of a multidisciplinary team that works from data to action. At PSC, we work from data to action. We focus on a wide variety of research methods, ensuring that our data is both gathered and interpreted in ways that are fair, ethical, and sustainable for the future.
Much of our work revolves around topics related to public health governance in Iowa and across the U.S., with the goal of improving both access to and quality of research and data. PSC strives to create scholarship that promotes sustainability, equity, accessibility, and teamwork. Central to this mission is our commitment to human-centered approaches to science, using stories and experiences from real people to inform governance, policy, and program design.
PSC produces a broad range of data products, including interactive platforms, assessments, and websites, which are designed to provide communities and organizations with actionable insights. We help our partners use these insights to develop evidence-based programs, secure funding, and design innovative interventions tailored to local needs.
By emphasizing “data to action,” PSC works to close the gap between research publication and real-world implementation. Whether partnering with state agencies, local governments, or nonprofit organizations, our goal is to turn research into practical, sustainable solutions that positively impact communities of all sizes.
