Advancing Substance Use Recovery in Iowa

This research was funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). It was designed to identify areas for growth within Iowa’s recovery resources and communities as well as to provide information to the Iowa Department of Public Health. After a thorough data analysis conducted on existing resources, decisions can be made regarding how best to implement recovery community centers across Iowa. Specifically identifying unmet needs in long-term recovery and using information gathered to create a toolkit to develop much needed recovery resources in Iowa.
