Recovery Readiness
Assessments
Recovery Readiness Assessments, created for communities, counties, and behavioral health districts across Iowa, help people understand their local substance-use recovery landscape, compare community resources to similar-sized towns, and identify areas that may need additional support.
Iowa Alcohol
Insights Platform
The Iowa Alcohol Insights Platform contains information about alcohol establishments, school locations, and alcohol-related car crashes in Iowa, allowing members of the Alcoholic Beverages Division to assess spatial patterns anywhere in the state. Any community in Iowa can use this map to see if they have alcohol risk factors such as clusters of establishments or OWI car crashes. Community leaders and action groups can also assess the proximity of alcohol establishments to schools.
Healthy Iowa
Snapshots
Designed in partnership with Iowa State University Extension Community and Economic Development, the Healthy Iowa Snapshots include 99 county reports, 275 community reports, and an interactive dashboard, all of which enable users to learn more about health in their counties and communities.
Recovery Iowa
Meetings Finder
The Iowa Peer Support Meetings Finder helps people find quick, reliable access to recovery support. People can filter results by meeting name, location, day or week, time of day, language spoken, accessibility accommodations, and other public facts. PSC uses APIs and bots to scrape over a dozen websites each morning and then ingest, clean, and display the near-real time data with this interactive tool.
Tri-County Substance Use Monitoring System
As part of the Public Science Collaborative’s substance use monitoring work, this dashboard helps visualize the landscape of substance use in Jackson, Jones, and Dubuque Counties by supporting stakeholders in designing data-driven interventions to improve community health and safety.

As part of the Public Science Collaborative’s substance use monitoring work, this dashboard helps visualize the landscape of substance use in Barton County, Kansas by supporting stakeholders in designing data-driven interventions to improve community health and safety.
Recovery Resource
Finder
The Iowa Recovery Resource Finder helps people find local recovery resources quickly. This resource map displays the locations of and information about access centers, mental health centers, rural clinics, drug drop off locations, peer support providers, substance use and gambling providers, hospitals, recovery housing, Veteran’s Affairs health centers, and medication assisted treatment sites.
